Home Buy, Sell & Trade - Cards & Memorabilia

Did this really deserve a 9.5?

Think they overlooked a minor flaw? LOL

How could you even grade it, I mean they are all like that but still, I laughed when I saw it.

I believe it was that Upper Deck printed the (rookie) cards of Lavar Arrington, planning to insert them into their packs. Arrington, however, didn't sign the NFLPA agreement authorizing his picture to appear on the cards, so Upper Deck chose to cut out Arrington's picture from the cards.

I'm not sure if the cards then were inserted into the packs, or whether they found their way to collectors in some other fashion.

  • Yea..that's a real card...Arrington was not suppose to have any cards produced and that's why these are cut out and his Ultra RC sells for so much. I have seen this card with the non cutout version and it sells for big $$$$$. Great player that will probably never have a card put out so these will have some value......as for grading a cutout card...well that defeats the purpose.

I think I saw something recently where Arrington finally signed with the NFLPA within the last month or so. If true, this should open the door for card companies to issue cards of him.

He had another rookie out of Crown Royale or something along those lines. The cutouts were inserted in packs. The non cut out version that vince is talking about comes from uncut sheets that people have had cut. I at one time owned the SUPER SCRIPT Arrington non-cut out. It made for a very nice payday.
