75 Topps Bert Blyleven surfaces

My favorite card in the history of cards has finally come out to ebay in psa 9 form (been wondering for long time who owned them, pop of 2), looks nice and will make a run at it. From the scan i like my 8 a tiny bit better just because of the centering. I still think this card will go for high $, my guess 3 to 5 bills and worth every penny, more than I'm willing to pay for it right now. Just nice to see a card you've been wondering about for the last year to finally surface. For some weird reason this card is my first memory of ever seeing baseball cards, My older brother collected this year and I remember looking through his stash of cards and always liked the Bert, and I recall thinking someday I'm going to sit in a big leauge dugout in blow bubbles with my gum............

Looks pretty nice. That little fisheye by his name doesn't really detract. I advise you to bid recklessly without regard for the consequences image.

p.s. Blyleven was the proud recipient of my all-time favortite Chris Berman nickname - Bert "be home" Blyleven. A close second was Drew Bledsoe "much that he needed a transfusion."
No such details will spoil my plans...

Confucious say: "Man who mention auction on messageboard AFTER auction
is over have better chance to get card."

  • Thank God Friday is payday and annual bonus payment day!
Looking for 1975, 1978, and 1979 Topps Baseball in high end PSA 9 and PSA 10.

I think it was he,or some Chineese Philosipher that also said.... 'Never remove a fly from a friend's head with a hatchet'.

image I thought that one went: "Man who remove fly from friend's head
with hatchet suddenly discover he have 'split ends'."

Another one of my fav's: "He who laughs last didn't get joke."
  • still at $56 with 2+ hours left.

That is a great card. What is interesting is another ebay auction of the same card in PSA with a Buy It Now price of $10. My guess is that this cards will go for $333.33 in PSA 9.

    Does anyone know if there's a PSA 10 of a 75 Bert.

BTW, it was said earlier, the man should be in the HOF.

    Enjoy your collection!

Crazy, even the Tommy John 9 went for almost 60 dollars. This isn't a good time to be working on this registry set, eh?
