I did send these on the special. It took PSA 12 days to do 361 cards. Great service.

How long did it take them to process your order? In other words, how long did it take them to send you an email telling you that your order had been received?

butcher- I do live in Carrollton. Call me 492 4100.
I sent in the batch on 1-12-04 . They never sent me confirmation that they received the package or sent the package back. I just got it today.
    Hope that helps.

Why can't PSA go to a FIFO system? I have had 2 invoices sitting there, one received 1-9, the other 1-16, both actually received a couple of days earlier according to the USPS website. Both are set registry specials around 50-65 cards each. I realize that the special is a 35 day guarantee, but I think that everyone would be happier with a 1st in 1st out system. They would get more submissions from me if I received my cards back earlier. I would be able to move some of them for cash and bang out another submission. Hopefully the are astounded by the # of tens on my invoice and are going over the cards for the fifth or sixth time just trying to find a 9. Dare to dream!

  • gameusedhoop,

I too am getting jealous of fellow collectors sharing their grades when my cards were received by PSA before theirs. If you had any oddball cards in your submission that might delay it. I'm thinking my delay is due to a couple of 2003 Draft Pick cards that were only included in the 2003 Topps Factory Sets. They don't have real card numbers on the back and it is hard to find them listed on the Topps Website.

Many times the delay is because it is harder to grade or because of the product being an oddball item. I get upset when my stuff has been down there for five weeks and everyone is getting their cards done in a 2 week period. I think PSA has certain graders for each era. There may be three or four guys that only grade "commons" from 1972-1980 and then another three guys that do 1981-2004. I don't know the answer but I do know that PSA has improved drastically on their service from a year ago.

No oddballs in my submission. One was 1973 Hockey, the other was 1973 + 1974 Hockey (both Topps). The background for my post should be GREEN as I am jealous!

Ask and ye shall receive. Just check the status again, for about the hundreth time and low and behold the January 16th submission is ready, no sign of the January 9th submission (same items). Here is the submission # 4111753, with a zip of 01970. Overall I was pretty pleased, don't ask about the 4s, I have no idea what happened. I think the 73s on the other invoice are nicer overall.
