The "PSA 7 Wrinkle"- frustrating

3 cards that I have purchased on Ebay in the past year have what I refer to as the "PSA 7 Wrinkle".
It is the most frustrating thing to receive a card with a "wrinkle" that you look at very closely on ebay in a scan and deem "solid or high end for the grade". The wrinkle is usually impossible to detect when flat but when angled in a certain direction under light it becomes obvious
The first thing I do when I receive a card is look at it under light on my desk. The wrinkle tends to be detectable in a nanosecond and in no way I consider myself a professional grader.
I do not hold the seller responsible. I hold the grading company responsible.
If I had a choice, two of the cards I would like to have been refunded on. The third card I would keep because of its fantastic eye appeal despite the small "wrinkle"
I am a big fan of PSA and they have essentially all my business, but I will be wary when buying PSA 6-7 because of the "wrinkle".
I have yet to see a "wrinkle" on a PSA 8 or 9 card I own. Perhaps the consumer and PSA have different definitions of a "wrinkle"
From the previous post about the refund it is nice to see others have had similar experiences with PSA 6-7 cards and wrinkles.

I really don't understand why PSA grades down so severly for this defect.
The defect is factory and many times is hard to see unless you look for it.
It can easily take a PSA 8 card and turn it into a PSA 6 or more than likely a PSA 5 card.
A much more glaring defect is the frayed cut edge IMHO but PSA dosen't seen to mark down for this at all.
But if there is a wrinkle, no matter how slight......YOU ARE IN BIG TROUBLE.
It just seems, a little out of wack to me as far as the negetive grading weight associated with THE WRINKLE.
