  • Old coin books can be worth from $0 to thousands. The blue books in the auction aren't worth the shipping.

Although they have little cash value, they can be fun to look through.
Buyer and seller of vintage coin boards!
  • Blue books and redbooks from the 60's thru the 80's are worth basically nothing. The early ones are worth a bit depending on condition. Books from the very late 90's thru 2002 are hard to find if you are trying to update your collection. Not on ebay, anyway. But even when you find them there, they go pretty cheap. Some of the years have 3 varieties of red book. Spiril, soft cover and hard cover. There are a lot of scarcer books out there tho. Steve
  • The old red R.S. Yeoman books are said to be worth something.
What is money, in reality, but dirty pieces of paper and metal upon which privilege is stamped?
  • The older red books do have some value, from very good to very fine to new. Especially special editions. Rough values can be found on pages 344-345 of the 2004 red book. image
  • They're invaluable if you need to know what coins were worth back in the mid-sixties.imageimage

No real value in Redbooks or Bluebooks until you get back to the first couple of years of Redbooks, then they have to be in brand spankin new condition and they are a few hundred bucks -- you can find them for sale at big shows. There is a wealth of really old coin and numismatic literature and books, 19th century stuff, available for very cheap prices and I think there are some real steals out there. Check somebody like Kolbe as to the really elite stuff tho.
