Jay - ran across this from another board :

"CLG Authentic is a fraud! They are run by a guy named Charles who advertised his services for grading rare cards. Once you submit them he keeps the cards and you are out the money and the cards. He says he specializes in cutting paper cards. I sent him 5 1st and 2nd issue Sports Illustrated to have the insert cards cut and graded. They were worth about $1,500. After acknowledging he received them, he stopped replying to my call and my emails. This was two months ago. His website has been disabled and there is no way to contact them. Stay awy from them or anyone selling his graded cards. I believe that Charles is selling under two names currently on EBay. One of those names is Liberty For All and I forget the other. This is a fraud and hopefully the authorities will catch up to them. They sell newspaper clippings and cut-outs to unsuspecting collectors for hundreds of dollars. If anyone has any neew contact information for this company, please email me at joed86@aol.com as I am trying to find a way to report them to consumer affairs. Thanks, Joe"

WOLFBEAR - Thanks for the follow up. I never planned on using them or buying graded cards, it was just a new sounding company that was using "PSA" for spamming their auction and I wanted the "take" on them. If your quote is accurate, they do have a novel grading approach that few others use. "Once you submit them he keeps the cards and you are out the money and the cards. " OUCH! image ...jay

  • Is't Final Grading Authority one of Solomen Cramer's grading companies?
  • CLG oviously stands for "Charlie's Lucite in his Garage"

or maybe the L stands for Larceny
  • Looks like Pro-Mold makes a few bucks from CLG from screwdown sales
