I want your opinion on raw/ungraded set storage....

Im working on and a few 1960's raw/ungraded football sets that average Near Mint condition and a couple of them will be complete in the next month or two. My question is what way do you think would be the best for LONG TERM storage?

1)Now all the cards are in Card Saver 1's so should i just leave them in the Card Saver 1's and store them inside a Monster Vault Box?

OR

2)Should i store each set in one of the Archiver Series Binder Systems with the slipcover from M. J.Roop (info below)?

The M. J. Roop Binders look awesome in the picture but i've never seen one up close. Im not worried about the price i just want the best protection for my ungraded sets.

What do you think?

They are more expensive but worth it.

They also sell on ebay I think. I have 3 binders (54, 60, 70 Topps).

Paul, My vintage cards were stored loose in cigar boxes in larger boxes in doubled plastic trash bags in the cellar. After 25+ years in storage when I checked them out they hadn't lost any condition quality. By the way, I found some 1967 Topps that my brother left loose in a chest in the attic of the same house and many were warped, probably from heat.

Too much heat and too little humidity are the killers,... especially heat for modern cards that have specialty coatings. I don't care what plastics or derivatives you use, if it gets too hot for a modern card, you have major problems. I've seen cards stored in extrme cold conditions and they have escaped damage. Every time I've seen a modern card stored in HIGH heat conditions, I've seen damage, sometimes catastrophic.

it seems to be worth the little extra to store something like a nice vintage set.
