OOOPs

Thank you PSA ! Thank you for your old submission invoices that I unwittingly sent in with 20 cards for a WALK-THROUGH one day turnaround @ $50 a pop now since Jan.1 st.

Thank you for using that as an excuse to turn one day into four, charging full price and the Coup de Grace....mislabeling my most important rookie submission, a Mark Prior 2001 rookie as a 2002 !!

Thank you.....

    This could not of happened.

    Koby,

Are you here? Can you tell this guy Psa does not make mistakes? Please post something
to deflect the message of this post. Right now a response containing a negative comment
about Sgc should fix this. Tell him.... HURRRYY!!

  • I've seen your name Aconte as a habitue on the SGC boards. I am not on the SGC boards, but peruse it when someone here links an article; you have an anti-PSA agenda which I do not share; mine is only a gripe.

I may be upset with PSA as I think 1 large is heavy coin for a quick response which wasn't. Also, I don't hold myself accountable as I used the invoices supplied when I joined in September 2003 , though I paid the right price.

Still, all things being equal, I'll take PSA warts and all over the other companies out there.....I was venting....the mislabel was a stupid gaffe since I entered the info right on the submission and the card itself says 2001 on the back.

Everyone makes mistakes...but this was a costly delay because of the large numbers of Prior cards I was going to put up on Ebay , with this very important rookie card as the anchor of those auctions....oh well, guess its next week and a couple of free gradings.

I have no anti- Psa agenda.

Sorry to hijack your thread. I hope you come to a favorable resolution with your submission.

    Enjoy!

  • Aconte,

    OUCH!!!

Methinks that some feel that you spend too much time on the other side of the street. image

It's hard to be on top of the fence without falling off or at least occasionally giving that appearance to some.

I would have to agree that Aconte does not have an anti PSA adgenda.

Please be kind to me. Even though I'm now a former postal employee, I'm still capable of snapping at any time.

    Great....

I try to pick a spot to be critical of the constant ridicule of Sgc by Koby and now I'm paying for it.

Sorry to Beachbum for stealing his thread. I'm sure Peter will make it good.
Sorry to Tipem for getting stuck on the fence.
Sorry to BKAH for my bad use of proper grammar words or something like that.

    Bleacherbum,

The mechanical error is a definite gripe, and seems to be occurring more than it should. As for using the wrong invoice, I would put the responsibility squarely on you. Why should PSA be blamed for your mistake?

I have invoices from 1999, but I know better than to use them. I'm not trying to be harsh, but in all fairness, if they gave you free gradings out of this deal, I'd walk away with a big smile on my face.

    Aconte,

    Yeah, what they said!image

    Tipem-

You're not the first to talk of 'the other side of the street', so I recognize I'm being a little unfair by posting this message as a response to you, but-- we should all be clear on one thing. There IS no 'other side of the street, at least insofar as there is no 'us vs. them' when it comes to PSA advocates and SGC advocates. There are just people who have a passion for collecting cards, who happen to choose different grading services.
We are not street crews, and we are not gangsters. We are card collectors. If one guy chooses the services of one grading company over another, so be it. But we should all be aware that there's no fence to sit on, since there is no meaningful boundry between one group of collectors and another.
I only bring this up because I'm sick of the insinuation that those who collect one kind of flip have any kind of bragging rights over those who collect another.

should i wear red or blue?? i hate beckett!! so whatever gang there in im against lets goto war!! lol

  • Aconte,

I think that most(including myself)missed the point of your first post(a dig on Koby).Although I post on this board,I also read the SGC board and find 99.9 % of what you post to be positive of BOTH companies. To apolgize for something that you didn't do is commendable but ....Maybe I will have to buy you a beer at this years national.image That was the basis for my "top of the fence inference"(BKAH,I hope that was the proper choice of words image).

    Boopotts,

You are being totally unfair and I am hurt!! imageimage I agree with you as in my eyes(and most I think),there is no defining "fence"with regards to PSA and SGC.Both have their own redeeming qualities and I think that most savvy collectors can see this clearly. It seems that there are only a few that see this as a cloudy issue. The reference to "the other side of the street" was just a dig. image

    Kuhlmann,

I think that red and blue make green.

    I vote for green!!!!! image

Who are the Sharks and who are the Jets?

Aconte does not stir up trouble at all. He has a preference as we all do.

  • 1420, to be politically correct, The "West Side Story" reference could be misconstrued to be an ethnic distinction; that being said, I'm a Jet all the way........."Riff" was cool and George Chakiris as "Bernardo" wore more makeup than my wife does.

Also, you are a Philly fan, my favorite team after the Yankees so you are alright in my book.

P.S. Condolences on the "iggles" ...the receiver corps was exposed , but that Kukar non-call didn't help either.

Thanks Beach, as a Philly Phan I am used to being disappointed. Still bleedin green and Phils red, so when they do finally win a Super Bowl (and they will next year) and a World Series (and they will this year) I will be a very happy man partying on Broad Street.
