Any recent submissions? Tell us about your results!

Hi I would like to see if anyone recently had any submissions come back and if so please tell us how you did. You don't have to put the invoice number if you don't like to but do tell us how the outcome was, I am sure we all are interested! I am getting ready to send in a large order and want to see how people on the boards are doing.

Thanks

  • Just got back the rsults of a small submission. A 1960 Dodgers Johnny Klippstein came back a 6. It was a borderline 7, but I'm still happy because it is nearly impossible to find as it was a short-print and is always very off-centered. It is only the second one ever graded by PSA ( although the Pop. Report shows 0, there was a 7 sold on ebay a while ago for around $350, and I believe it had worse centering than mine. I paid $42 for mine. Now I need 2 more cards to finish the 20 card set I have been working on since 1994. This is a a tough set to find in high grade, and while I try for 7,8, and 9's, sometimes a nice looking 6 ain't bad.

Also got back a 1961 Willie Davis Bell Brand, graded an 8. Its the first card in the set, so a toughie. I believe its the first 8.

Always looking for high-grade 1958-62 Bell Brand and Morrell Meat Dodger cards.

I just got back my renewal 6-card submission, and it was mixed overall.

    link.

I was happy about the Stancrafts - they are rounded border cards and about half come back 10's, but you can never count on a 10 as we all know image The 7-11 was perfect as far as I could tell, but grading discs is tricky.

The Kemp RC was broken from a SCD 9 slab, and screamed "sheet cut" as soon as I saw it in person. No suprise it was rejected.

The OJ looked like a very high-end 8:

But when I broke it out and louped it, it was obviosly an 8. No dissapointment there.

The last line was for a 1948 Exhibit Y.A. Tittle - I don't know why it came back "no holder available" as there is one in the pop report. I have an e-mail in.

No such details will spoil my plans...
