Just what does "contact each other within three business days" mean?

This mostly concerns making payment with checks & money orders. When you use PayPal the seller is contacted with enough automatic canned emails that he knows that you know you won the auction and paid for it. But sometimes I spend all the $$ in my PP account and have to use old fashioned checks.
Back in the goodle days a couple of days after you won an auction you sent the seller an email saying "hey man I won your auction. Give me your address & I'll send the $$ asap."
That worked for me.
Then eBay started "checkout" so you didn't have to bother the seller with extra emails. Some sellers didn't like "checkout" and they sent you a personal email a couple of days after the auction saying "hey dog you won my auction send me the $$$."
A personal message from them gets a personal reply from me & I would say "Here's my shipping address, get it ready and I'll send $$ asap."
That worked for me too.
Nowdays sellers have gotten lazy, rude, demanding & impatient. They don't even send personal emails anymore. They depend on eBay canned message that says from: awconfirm@ebay.com "your invoice for ebay purchase" which you can't reply to.
I consider that "contact" because I was contacted with a demand for $$.
They don't want to take the time to send you a personal message but they sure do expect one from you.
Lately I've had several sellers send me nasty emails a week after the auctions end saying stuff like "Do you have a problem? It's been a week & I haven't heard from you" or "Do you still want the coin? I remind you that your bid is your contract etc etc & I'll neg you if you don't pay me etc etc & turn you in as a NPB."
So I tell them something like "No I don't have a problem, I got your invoice demanding $$ and I sent payment so if you don't get it soon then I guess the problem is with the Post Office being slow and if you don't get it soon just let me know.
Never fails, the same day they send me another email saying "Received your payment today. Thanks."
How do you guys do it?

Silence from a buyer worries me.
Glenn
Edited to add: When I receive payment I immediately leave feedback, package up the coins, label it (stamps.com), photograph the package & email (attach photo) a thank you & tell them its sent!
I agree with Glenn. I just had a buyer recently that didn't have the consideration to email until I emailed for the third time which included subtle threats. As of 5 minutes ago, still no payment in the mail. I gave them until this coming Tuesday to render pmt. or the threat becomes action on my part. Oh well, there's one or two in every crowd...
