Returned home with some goodies

I just got home from a short business trip where I got to personally meet one of my dealer friends for the first time. He is slowly selling off his Goetz collection to focus on another area and I have been lucky to pick up pieces from him in the past. We met for coffee this morning and I got a chance to see some of his fantastic collection. Even better, I was able to pick up two additional bronze cast pieces (a medal and a plaque) and three of the four varieties of the beautiful 1908 proof Pattern 25 Pfennig pieces. I will try to get the stuff imaged tonight to show off here as soon as possible.

Scott, do you think it's difficult to dispose of a Carl Goetz medal collection like yours? I mean , the demand must be relatively smaller than high grade British coins for example. On the other hand, sometimes a devoted fan club is better than a large audience.

The two cast pieces are up and I'll try to get the three 25 Pfennig pattern varieties up later tonight...

Right now I'm dealing with a corrupted dB here at work...
