Any other hapless Charger fans out there? I know this might not be the appropriate place/board for this discussion, but I'm curious what other people think about what we should do with our #1 pick? Another QB? (ie. Eli Manning, etc.) Or shoreup our defense we so carelessly dumped last off season (see Rodney Harrison in next week's Super Bowl). **sigh**

I've been thinking about what the Chargers should do in the draft also, and just can't help but think they should draft Kellen Winslow Jr to give Drew Brees another receiver to throw to.

I just really think Brees will be a good QB for years to come, and if they can add Winslow Jr to the receiving corps to line up opposite David Boston, and with LaDainian Tomlinson at RB, they're going to have a good offense.

All they need then is to get a defense!

I've been a Charger season ticket holder for decades and still am,
and since I don't even live there anymore, I'm about as die-hard as they come.

It might be time to give up on Drew and take Ben Roethlisberger,
or if they want to give Drew another chance, take wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald.

The defense is young, and will jell over time ... hey, shouldn't this thread be on the Sports Talk board ?
