Remember the technical problems with EBAY we were all having?

The problem revolved around signing in, bidding, etc. Has anyone found out what is wrong? It has been persisting for a long time and it gets somewhat annoying. Here are some of the problems most of us were experiencing:

1. Each time you bid on an item, you need to sign in.
2. Every time you bid on an item, you receive an error page (although your bid was placed)
3. Each time you watch an item, you also receive an error page.
4. Each time you log into your eBay, you need to sign in.

This leads me to believe that there is an issue with cookies, but I'm not sure. Could simply be a new temporary security measure eBay is using until it finds another method to protect our info better.

Thanks

Remember these Chuck Norris Facts

1. When Chuck Norris does a pushup, he isn't lifting himself up, he's pushing the Earth down
2. According to Einstein's theory of relativity, Chuck Norris can actually roundhouse kick you yesterday
3. There are no such things as lesbians, just women who have not yet met Chuck Norris

  • Glad to know it's not just me.
    I have tried everything.

One thing that seemed to improve the situation was to delete the link from my "favorites" delete my ebay cookies...
and go back to the main sign in page and reset the cookies by re-establishing the links...

this seemed to solve some of the problems...
however, everytime I bid on an item, I still have to sign back in before it will allow me access to "my favorites."
    or
if I interrupt any eBay page when it is loading... it also boots me out again.

I use AOL 9.0 and explorer 6.0 and I have Windows ME
is it me or do other people with better tools have these problems also?

  • I have all of those problems when I use my office computer. When I log in at home, everything works fine.
