Some Gold in the Mail

Upon my arrival back in country, it was found that the mail lady had been busy and left these,

1871 Sydney Mint Sovereign ( WW, Incused), first year of Imperial Sovereigns for the Sydney Mint, also first Imperial sovereigns struck at a branch of the Royal Mint outside Britain

1887 Proof Half Sovereign, hairlines in fields.

1887 Proof Sovereign, again hairlines in fields, and the 2nd one in the collection

Both the above have a mintage of only 797 pieces

1932 South African Sovereign, last bullion sovereign minted ( with the exception of the 1925 re-strikes) until 1957 and last sov minted at any branch of the Royal Mint.
