Thanks to Jay Wolt and Dave Jacobs

1)Thanks to Jay Wolt for breaking up his 1960 Topps Football set and selling me 18 psa 8s and 2 psa 9s--including several low pop.
With this, Jay is officially out of the penalty box(which he was never in). He is a great dealer and look forward to doing a lot more transactions with him off ebay.

2)Thanks also to Dave Jacobs who sold me his pop 1 1970 Kellogg's.

Unusual transaction in that neither of us wanted to continue the set
but he felt more strongly about wanting to stop than me. Guess its still up to me to stop the evil empire. Also gave Dave the 1968 Topps pop 1 psa 9 McAulliffe in the transaction.
Dave is collecting 1952-85 Topps in psa 8/9 --complete sets, with the exception of 1952 Topps which he is doing in psa 7.

Dave is one of my favorite people in the hobby--he does not describe this as attempting to do but he will do it--reminds me of my goal of 100 vintage complete all psa 8 and better sets--I will do it.

Yes, Jay and Stump are among the hobby's best. I hope to bump into them one of these days at the National or at a regional show.

Another thing I like about Dave is that he jumps in and attacks the trolls who have nothing to add and immediately shuts them up.

Sure Jay! Actually, you're letting me off easy. I was thinking of buying you a beer and hotdog. image

    Looking at this thread-

Take Jay Wolt, Dave Jacobs, Davalillo Dan Markel - and you've got some of the best/nicest guys in the hobby. All of them have helped me out with my collecting interests at one point or another, and are among my favorite people to deal with.

    Cheers-

I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.
