The first one is a 10 something. According to the quick guides in Krause this type of eagle (with an empty shield on his chest) is likely to be from the Arab Republic of Egypt, or Libya. With three stars on his shield he is associated with the Syrian Arab Republic. It has the date 1973, in Arabic-Turkish script, as well as the AH date 1393. Brass or aluminum-bronze, 5.5g, 21mm.
And now a 1 something with a columned building taking up one side which I have arbitrarily called the reverse. 5.3g of brass, 22mm.

Sudan, KM112, mintage N/A, $.35/.75/1.50
I'm afraid to be alive without being aware of it

Thanks Kuhli. My search for something that matches the appearance of my coin was doomed to failure. My 30th Ed. Krause has pictures of the similar-designed 5 milliemes and larger denomination coins, but this 10 milliemes is listed with no picture!

Thanks again Kuhli - now was there something that I should have recognized as making this 1 dinar "Reform Coinage", AH1415 - 1994 piece Sudanese?
