Card for kids (don't throw your cards away)

Just a quick thanks to Jay and Larry... Those big heavy boxes of cards arrived safely. You'll make some kids happy... and hopefully make collectors out of them.

also thanks to BKAH... I got several other emails after you reposted my request.
what is even nicer than cards is how everyone stood up to that ignoramous who slammed my kids.
the day following that guy's comments, one of my kids read the opening ceremony speech for special olympics in front of hundreds of people...
I was brimming with pride as he it read it and it made me sort of chuckle to think of his assumption that these kids couldn't read.

I'll post a follow up as boxes arrive and when we get the collecting / trading club underway.

I am probably not allowed to post pic of kids or names of kids due to laws... however, I'll post links to my school and the program I work in.

  • glad to help.
I have a neighborhood and a church youth group
just full of kids that LOVE collecting SPORTS cards
now (and not that yugiopokedigiwomen junk) because
of the commons I bring them.
And if I ever come up with a star card of a player they
    like, they go nuts!

    ydsotter:

I finally got a chance to mail out several hundred cards on Thursday. I mailed it parcel post because of the weight, so hopefully it will get to you within the week.

    Thanks,

YDSOTTER - You rec'd it already? I shipped it Tuesday via book rate since it was like 30+ pounds, the Post Office clerk said it will arrive in 2 weeks, and yet it arrived quicker then some Priority boxes I send image Anyway glad to help out, hope the kids enjoy the cards.
Funny thing, since I have cards in virtually every room of the house, the wife liked the idea of me sending a few thousand your way, little does she know, with the available space, I'll just get more image ...jay

    Ydsotter,

I think its great what you are doing for your kids. I guess these boards did come in handy for classroom purposes after all.

  • Are you still taking some card donations? I've got a couple thousand of assorted cards that I would love to donate to a good cause. Please let me know.
  • I am taking card donations year round my friend.
I mainly buy psa graded cards and single raw cards... I rarely bust new packs... so I never accumulate many cards...

It's just my 4th year of teaching and I plan on putting in another 21 years...I assure you that they'll reach the hands of many different 4th and 5th graders this year.
My email is available through my profile...
    Thanks,
    Geoff
