Why is she yelling at me?

I emailed an ebay seller, and she sent me this response. Her comments are in bold type, interpsersed among a copy of my original inquiry. This is exactly how I received the letter.

HELLO JOHN,

> I am very interested in the 10 fenigow Lodz Ghetto coin that you have
recently listed. However, I do have some reservations about the piece. First
of all, I agree with your grade of XF, however, the most current Polish
authorities value this coin at 450 zlotych, or $112.50 US. This information
is from the Fischer and Lanowy "Katalog Monet Polskich 2003." Furthermore, I
find the coppery color of this coin to be unusual for an Aluminum-Magnesium
alloy. Coins of this alloy tend to tone toward a more greenish color.THIS ONE
IS MADE OF MAGNESIUM AND COPPER!
>
> Nevertheless, you have an excellent return policy, and I would very much
like to bid on the coin, but your opening request of $400 is overly
optimistic in my opinion.YES, MY START PRICE IS $400.00, BUT MY RESERVED
PRICE IS MUCH HIGHER AND I AM SORRY I CAN'T SELL YOU FOR LESS MONEY.
> I hope you are not insulted by any of my comments. NO, NOT AT ALL.

This was my response:

Thank you for your answers. However, to my knowledge, none of these coins
were minted of a Copper-Magnesium alloy. Only Aluminum-Magnesium. I was
not asking you to sell this coin to me for less than your asking price.
I wish you the best in your auction. John Zielinski.

Here is the auction in question.

The picture isn't large enough or clear enough to be sure, but the metal in the open field has a somewhat porous look IMHO.image

Fair enough, there is some porosity, but is it the right metal?

How would an Al-Mg alloy get that coppery color?

BTW, these Lodz Ghetto coins are notorious for being counterfeited.

No way that I can think of, but then I'm not a metallurgical engineer.image

I wouldn't trust an ebay sale for one of these anyhow.. unless one of the biggies were offering it.

Just for comparison's sake, this is only the first site with pics that popped up, here are some pics of other Lodz coins: link do Ctrl+F for "Lodz"
None are that color in these pics.

Yeah, spoon. Here is Rosenblum's lot #900, a 10 Marek specimen.

This is what the coins SHOULD look like.

I would be wary ... as you noted, these are heavily counterfeited and I would only buy one from an expert.
