What does a blue folder vs gold folder mean?

I never noticed before, but just to the left of the title of a thread, some folders are gold and some are blue. What's the significance of this?

Click on the Help button (upper right).
It will ring up another window. In that window click on Folder Icons.
This area will explain the differences.
