Any chance it's signed on the back?

If it is, I would think a picture of the back would have been provided.
  • well, psa/dna also authenticates game used bats and equipment and tickets, so they might be doing photos now.

  • Guy...keep in mind this is PRO. They'll put anything on a holder to help their clients. The customer probably asked for it so they gave it.
There is a fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness"

  • There are many fake copies of this Tiger photo floating around so I believe PSA only authenticated that it is a genuine photo since PRO saying it is authentic holds no weight whatsoever.
  • If you go to:
http://www.psadna.com/verify.chtml and enter 1A53701 you will see that it is a:

    Athlete/Celebrity: Woods, Tiger
    Item: 8X10
    Authentication Date: SEPTEMBER 10, 2001
    Location: P S A D N A
Notes: Topps Genuine Issue. Authorized Photo. No Autograph. From a Factory Sealed Set. 1997 The Masters photo.]

    Looking for:
Any high grade OPC Jim Palmer
    High grade Redskins (pre 1980)
  • so PSA/DNA are simply authenticating that
it IS in fact a photo or Tiger Woods....

well, that seems like money well spent!

BIGKID - More like an "authorized" photo of Tiger, meaning he got his cut ($) for its approval...jay

    ok, still
Do dealers have to pay someone like PSA DNA for that
too? I mean that seems a bit crazy!
Plus, Tiger makes 50 million a year or more,
what does the average person care if
it is an "official"photo or whether he got his cut?

I could TOTALLY see the need for authentification if
it were a game used or signed item so that you know
for sure WHERE it came from, but this is a freaking
    photo and that is it.

    what a scam.
