DAMAGED ERROR COINS FROM THE MINT

Are they worth the same as non damaged error coins and why? What if a mule error coin was damaged?

  • Hey everyone! I found this dime. What do you think error or damage?

    Welcome to the forum

    100% damage.
There is no way that could happen when the coin was struck.

Yes, let's atleast be thankful for the good pictures.

    Welcome @Mulholb1

In the future you might just start your own thread. ;)

Feel free to post your questions. You already have the photo part figured out, which puts you ahead of many new members.

The OP probably found this thread on a Google search. Its how I started posting here and YES I happened to resurrect a thread from 2009 for my first post.

  • Thanks a lot for all the feedback! There’s more action on here than I thought. Ha. I was pretty sure it was PM damage. But the reeding still visible at damaged 10 o'clock position on the obverse along with what seems to be excess material on the 1994 threw me off(I see it’s scraped there but it’s piled like I’ve never seen). I have a 10x loupe I put up to my iPhone for closeups. Lol. I wasn’t able to create my own post at the time. I believe because I wasn’t a member yet. I have plenty of coins that are questionable to me that id like to post if anyone feels like looking at them. I’m just starting to get familiar with coin collecting and this forum is a huge help. Thanks again everyone!
