How badly does an abraded die hurt this Washington?

This is a really clean mint set coin with light toning, and very reflective fields. The reverse is almost PL. There is a nice die crack at the based of the bust, and some die-polish inside the obverse rim. There is little hair detail, and the eagle feathers are not bold. There is very light discoloration on the cheek from rubbing the cello, but it is not visible without magnification, and appears to affect only the toning and not the metal. Otherwise a very nice coin. Any thoughts?

Extraordinarily clean, love the look ... how much strike drags it down, I don't know. According to PCGS' own grading standard MS/PR-64 and above must be average to excellent strike. But, a 63 that ain't...at least not marketwise. Nice coin Don.

(Interesting to note the MS-68 CAM 1965 Washington SMS (1/0) did not clear the reserve on eBay tonight at $510 ...)

I like it, but it's a cheap coin in 67 and probably not worth submitting.
BTW, what became of that 69D quarter you showed us about a year ago?

    Sean,

It became an NGC 67. Thanks for remembering.image

Strike isn't all that bad. It's not a terribly impressive obverse but the reverse is a real beaut.

    Surely it will go MS-66.
