Hey Error people, What happened here? Pictures added.

This is an 1858 Flying Eagle Cent.
Looks like a seconded wreath to the left of the first one at the 8 o'clock position!
Is this an error, if so what kind of error is it?

    Well, to be honest, I really can't tell from the picture. I'd need to look in person, with a glass.image
    I'm the Proud recipient of a genuine "you suck" award dated 1/24/05. I was accepted into the "Circle of Trust" on 3/9/09.
  • Could be double struck in collar. What does the obverse look like, can you show a picture of it?

  • Planchet flaw?
    Maybe part of the planchet was hollow, & when it was struck it pushed in that part of the planchet. When it was pushed in, that part of the coin moved & caused the doubling?

  • Could be.But, it doesn't look like that portion of the design was there . It looks like a different portion of the design was there as if it rotated some bit and was struck again. At nine and ten oclock on the obverse it also looks like some doubled denticles are showing near the very edge.
