Is this a real Ricky Williams autographed card?

A customer brought me a 1999 Collector's Edge Supreme Ricky Williams Autograph which is number RW and is factory numbered on the back in red pen 30/40 made. I look through all of Beckett's archives and can only find a Collector's Edge Triumph AUTO, not a Supreme. The only card numbered RW from Supreme is a preview card. The card I have (I can provide a scan if needed but it is too big to upload) is the exact same as the regular Supreme card, just numbered RW with the AUTO on front and 30/40 on back, no statement that it is an actual AUTO. If anyone has info if this is a real AUTO from this set or if my customer is trying to pull a fraud on me then let me know. Do all the other Collector's Edge AUTO's have a statement of authenticity?
Thanks,
Jason

A collector's edge auto...wow..even beckett doesn't know what is out there, they had so many
"make-up" cards it was crazy! I have seen red autos with the number on the front and some
with the number on the back. I even have an auto singed in purple. If I remember right most
of the numbered to 40 autos were signed in blue not red...there were some reds but they were
numbered to 10. They did have some buy backs next year which you might look up, if not
chances are Edge did the card on the side and offered it to collectors who threatened legal
action against them, which by the way was the only way to get a good card as a replacment
from them.
Now the preview set was available via redemption only right? Perhaps this card was available too?
I have never seen an edge auto without the statement on the back, so I would be careful. There
are much better autos out there and chances are he wants decent money because it is numbered
low.
I would stay away from this one.
