12345 registered on CU forum !

Logged on this morning and noticed that there were now 12345 users registered
with Collectors Universe Forums.
Any numerology fans will tell you this is a good omen.

When I joined, less than a year ago, there were about 10,000 so it appears coin
collecting is attracting new members at a record pace !
The more the merrier, I say !

Just one question: do you think this recent surge in new collectors is helping to
fuel the rising prices in coins in general, and if so, do you think it will last ?

    Actually, it's 12354.

When I joined there were 5571 members, making me #5572.

  • I just wonder how many of those are actually active posters?

I know one that isn't as when I tried to first join there was some sort of glitch and my first chosen name now lists as taken, even though it isn't. I tried to get it straightened out but never could get a response from the webmaster.

I just gave up after a few weeks and used an old nearly forgotten password as a user name and reregistered again, finally being successfull.

"Lenin is certainly right. There is no subtler or more severe means of overturning the existing basis of society(destroy capitalism) than to debauch the currency. The process engages all the hidden forces of economic law on the side of destruction, and it does it in a manner which not one man in a million is able to diagnose."

  • I'm sure there are a number of "lurkers" out there, and that's OK.
They're still learning the lingo and not comfortable posting yet.
I plunged right in and showed my ignorance from the start.
The help and support I got made me glad I joined when I did !

Sure would like to know who # 12345 is , though.

By the way, how do find out what number you are ?
  • Wow the number is growing, there is power in numbersimage

Hover your mouse over your profile icon and it will show the ID number in the lower left task bar.

  • Guess I should post more and lurk less but as I am just a casual collector I dont really have that much knowledge to contribute. But there is sure a lot that can be learned from this group even just lurking.
My number is 4286 with less then 100 post so I guess I would really have to do some serious posting to catch up to some of you guy's that join back when I did..lol
