Blackout Bummer

I was anxiously awaiting the time to bid on an Ebay item. Everything was geared to 7:15 this evening. I visited my mother at the nursing home, and threatened to push her wheelchair down the stairs if she tried to keep me there one second more. I sped through traffic, and got to my home. I told the cats that the first one that opens its mouth gets a one way trip to the shelter.
Logged on and all set to bid. And the power goes out. 15 minutes later, it comes back on, but there is no joy in my life. image

Sorry to hear about that, Harasha. It's happened to me a few times. Last night in fact, my internet was down and I didn't get to bid on Darkhorse's auctions.

I thought the first paragraph of your story was a riot. image

The second paragraph was very unfortunate.image

Has anybody used these auto-snipers? This is the first time I ever heard about them. So , I am supposed to give my eBay password away and feel OK with that? imageimage

  • If you're a major seller on eBay I might recommend setting up a second account to use for purchases. You might want to do that anyway for use in buying from sellers you are not quite sure about .... use that account with the snipe program if you are worried about it.

I use my only account with the snipe program and feel confident about it. I worry a whole lot more about giving my account numbers to PayPal or any of the auto debit accounts I have (electric, water, phone, gas, etc) than giving out my eBay password.

I've used Auctionsniper.com for over a year without a hitch...your first three snipes are free and if you aren't buying big ticket items the costs are minimal after that. They've only screwed up twice, out of a hundred or so auctions, by not getting the bid in in time. No security problems and trouble free. If you decide to go with them let me know first so I get a three freebie reference credit. S
