    The Beautiful Bride is making me take her out to dinner, and at the rate they are going through those lots the ones I'm bidding on will show up just about the time they are serving the main dish.imageimageimage

    Oh well, with my dial-up there's no way I could react in time, so I'll just have to rely on my existing bids, which are probably waaaaaaay low anyhow.image

    imageimageimageCan an internet bidder ever win one of these "Live Auctions"?

    On one of the two I bid on, another internet bidder and a floor bidder tied, and the internet bidder got the shaft while the floor bidder got the coin.image

    On the other one I was the high internet bidder, but the coin went for more than double Krause for the grade it looked like in the auction photo.image

    I still don't know if I won or not. My eBay says I lost and Heritage has 9 bidders and a close of $345.00 where eBay has 5 bidders and a close of $300.00image

    If I'm not mistaken, you have to be registered for live auctions to watch.

    I also learned an important lesson. I was watching the live bidding last night when I spied a coin I though I would try my luck with. I punched the bid button and to my horror the bid was much higher than the value on the button when I clicked it! I thought with my high-speed internet conneciton that would not be a problem.

    To my relief, I was outbid. It's not where I wanted my coin funcds going at the moment, even though it was a nice pieceimage
