I just bought my first Polish Renaissance coin

And I have no idea what I'm doing. It's probably a fake - 1622 Poltorak.

I haven't researched these coins at all. It was a gut reaction to losing an auction that I really wanted two days ago.

Oh well, you can all tear me apart now. At the worst, I only lost $13.50.

I can hardly see that picture??

If you're looking for a cheap coin from Sigis 3 try a trojak.. they're cool 'cause they have the portrait. Also, for old Polish stuff on ebay this guy is the most consistent I've seen: elcki (I've bought from him more than once, always good but it seems he's starting to get a following)
Then again you could always hit up Jester to do some shopping image

Huh? It's a very decent picture, as far as eBay sellers go.

Who would bother to fake a $13.50 coin?image How many books are there for this type of coin-it must have appealed to you...

It appealed to me on account of it's age and history.
