worst fake auto i've seen

palmeiro's one of my favorite players of all time and i have several of his autos. needless to say, none look like this

bad forgery?

why don't people look at the player's auto BEFORE listing their cards, especially when the auto they have looks nothing like the player's real auto

  • first, you need to read this VERY CAREFULLY
and you will see that it does not say that
it is Palmeiro's autograph on the card....
it just says it is a Palmeiro card that has
    an auto.

Plus in the description they list it as an
    Autoghraph
    not an autograph.

    see.
    it is really ok.

  • i didn't realize it was an Autoghraph. i also should've thought of adding to my palmeiro auto collection by having cards of palmeiros that are autoghraphed by players other than palmeiro. silly me- i thought you were supposed to collect the player's auto on their card.
  • i also noticed it comes in a "hard top loaded protactive". i wonder if that's a new type of holder image

  • << <i>silly me- i thought you were supposed to collect the player's auto on their card. >>

    oh, you are right.
but think about it from a scam artist's
point of view. If you had a Pete Rose card
for example and then YOU signed it
    with the words PETE ROSE
(or even your own name, it does not matter)
    then you ACTUALLY have
    "An Autographed PETE ROSE CARD!"
and you can market it as such
    in total honesty.

What you cant do honestly is say that this
card was "signed by Pete Rose" because
    it was not.

    scary isn't it?

Do not think for one second that people are
not out there doing this exact shell game right
now on ebay and around the world.
