Did someone try to clean the area around the words "smoking tobacco" ? The looks cleaner than the rest of the back but some of the lettering is rubbed off.
Have any board members bought from this seller (bigeds17872) in Shamokin PA?
There's a possibility that I may be able to bid on the T206 Plank PSA 2 he's currently auctioning. I looked through his last 200 or so feedbacks and they're all good, but I was just wondering if anybody could give me a real feel for what the seller's like.
Thank you very much for any insight you can provide!
This is quite a card and extremely rare to pick up. I've been collecting these rarer backs of the T206s cards for a long time and I've only ever since a Ty Cobb back show up 3 times.
Here's more info on the scarcity ratings of the backs: (it's a great website too!)

Just joking with my comment, BigKid. Even in that condition there's no way I could even afford it. I would be happy to have that card, like you (if I were wealthy).

Looks like it might be paper loss (as if it was mounted in a scrapbook).
BTW, there's a great article about a find of 5(!) T206 Cobb's with the Cobb back on the site onegaucho mentioned. The article also mentions how much this card has previously sold for. Sotheby's sold a Cobb back from the Halper collection in raw "good" condition for $28,750 in 1999.
