Did anyone win anything?
I wasn't even close on Heritage's lot number 12570 (British Honduras, George V 50 Cents 1919, KM18, AU, nicely toned). I figured it was worth around $300 (with the juice), and the Internet bidding ended at $345 plus the juice! I wonder what it will do on the floor. Only a couple of my bids survived Internet bidding, and I get the feeling I'm going to be blown away on the floor.
Too bad I couldn't see the coins in person and bid with more gusto on the nice ones. When I bid via the Internet or fax without seeing the coins first, I'm really conservative.

<< <i>I had a 1919 British Honduras 25 Cent piece. Problem is---it was fake. So I gave to Ye Olde Dead Skeletal Remains of a Monarch.

I didn't know there was enough interest in British Honduras coins for someone to go to the trouble of striking counterfeits.

Those are some nice red bronzes!
The early BH coins have pretty low mintages which accounts for their values and scarcity.
