I was really taken aback by the beauty of this old copper . . .

on the coinfacts.com site. I usually like my copper red -- mint fresh -- but the toning on this coin is really neat.

    It does look neat but my guess is the color has formed from dipping and retoning. mike

    Karl, I don't think it's for sale. It is on the informational part of their site for this type.

    DarkT, what makes you think it was dipped and retoned? Is it the color of the coin or the color of the toning, or the pattern of toning? I'm interested in learning what you see with this coin.
