What's up with the private auctions on these President autographs?

    I like how he has been searching for 3 months for John Adams autos and miraculously happens to pull the only one in the world out of the pack. what a coincidence.

    I guess I'll start searching ebay for George Washington autos and then go to the store and pick up a box of Topps and try my luck.

    An older getleman came in my store and said 2 of the 59 i think president auto's were pulled this is going back 1 month ago.
    i could of sworn he said john adams was one of them and it sold for 27,000$. he might of said jefferson though. any way card looks legit to me. nice pull for him.

    the other 2 that were pulled were nixon and t. jefferson. both were up on ebay, but i think the auctions weren't completed b/c of shill bidding allegations and apparently a deadbeat buyer. there were threads on this awhile back

    The prior auto cards from this set [Kennedy, Jefferson] caused quite a stir on EBAY bringing in huge prices for autos that aren't all that hard to find.

    The two Kennedy's were from Legendary Cuts and not from the Topps stuff.

    The Garfield was pulled a while ago and was at least briefly on eBay. I talked to a man on Monday who said he had purchased privately the Topps LBJ autograph card. He might have been blowing smoke, but I did see him pay $1600 cash for a dual bat barrel card(Musial/Edmonds) from Ultimate Collection.
