John Adams Topps Cut AUTO signed 1 of 1

$27000 ???

What's up with the private auctions on these President autographs?

Comments

  • I like how he has been searching for 3 months for John Adams autos and miraculously happens to pull the only one in the world out of the pack. what a coincidence.

I guess I'll start searching ebay for George Washington autos and then go to the store and pick up a box of Topps and try my luck.
    Always wanting odd-ball Nolan Ryan's.

An older getleman came in my store and said 2 of the 59 i think president auto's were pulled this is going back 1 month ago.
i could of sworn he said john adams was one of them and it sold for 27,000$. he might of said jefferson though. any way card looks legit to me. nice pull for him.
  • the other 2 that were pulled were nixon and t. jefferson. both were up on ebay, but i think the auctions weren't completed b/c of shill bidding allegations and apparently a deadbeat buyer. there were threads on this awhile back

The prior auto cards from this set [Kennedy, Jefferson] caused quite a stir on EBAY bringing in huge prices for autos that aren't all that hard to find.

Always looking for 1957 Topps BB in PSA 9!
  • The two Kennedy's were from Legendary Cuts and not from the Topps stuff.
  • mantlefan means Nixon and Jefferson
  • Well then he would be correct! image
  • Those are the best scans of a $20,000 card I may have ever possibly seen!!

The Garfield was pulled a while ago and was at least briefly on eBay. I talked to a man on Monday who said he had purchased privately the Topps LBJ autograph card. He might have been blowing smoke, but I did see him pay $1600 cash for a dual bat barrel card(Musial/Edmonds) from Ultimate Collection.
