Cross Over Results - small sample

For what it's worth, I just received grades on a submission that included four crossovers (All were cracked and submitted raw). I know some board members track these results.

1961 Topps Football # 98 Bobby Walston SGC 92 PSA 8

1961 Nu Card Football #171 Tom Hutchinson SGC 96 PSA 9

1944 American Beauties "Foil Proof" GAI 7 PSA 7

1944 American Beauties "Just the Type" GAI 7 PSA 6


I'm happy with the results. The consistancy was about what I expected from SGC and GAI.

JOHN - Looks like a pretty good crossover lot. But what I notice is, when people buy a non-PSA card to crossover they make sure its a nice card. Either it falls in the PSA parameters of what they are looking for or they do not buy the card or they will not submit it.
I think the #'s would vary if someone would buy a large lot of "XYZ" grading company and submit them all, as opposed to nice examples that make the cut...jay

Jay - you're right as far as these are concerned. I cherry picked from a stack of SGC and GAI cards I have picked up over the last year or so. I was pretty sure all 4 would cross over - and thought the Walston had a shot at a PSA 9. I'm sure that if I submitted the whole stack the results would be a little different.
