I hope when I sell in 20+ years, it's at 4.80+ to the buck, and the Spink 2004 prices have quintupled for true gems!! imageimageimage

I'll just cruise to Scotland (to my new Castle Stuart) image on the Queen Mary IIs final voyage and buy whisky for everyone!!

Of course, I'll also be playing some hot jigs, strathspeys and reels for me sailing mates!! image Hey Clank, kin ya play tha fiddle!! image

Seriously (wait, I thought I was serious), it looks like there's no intervention in site for some time. I think the Pound will go over 2.00 in a heartbeat.

The days of finding good buys in the US are also rapidly coming to an end. As I have posted before, one of the primo local dealers I see every six months here had his entire stock of choice British coins bought out by a Brit at FUN last year. I bought several scarce issues from him for 25 cents on the dollar prior to that deal.

Many places I used to frequent to get my British coin fix have sold out their stocks.

Compounding this problem is that tickets from London to Orlando are relatively cheap. I expect you'll see a lot of Brits at FUN and then a subsequent flood of activity on ebay featuring spendy British coins.

If things keep going like they are, I'll be able to retire on that little pile of Euro coins on my dresser. image
