Tonecoin 2003 is branching out....

I just saw this evening that mr. tc2003 is starting to work on bust half dollars. He has an 1833 bust half that he has painted dayglo orange and red... imagehttp://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2215062911&category=11969

    Yeah, I see sooooo many bust halves that would have been so beautiful, but that have been polished, scrubbed, dipped repeatedly, scratched, etc- and now this guy has to pile on too. Geesh, why can't people leave a good thing alone?

    there has been another thread on this coin - check 4-5 days back


    I am going to be in the minority here and say that if he starts with a cleaned and lightly scratch coin and turns it into that - he is adding value to that coin


    I do not believe anyone could feel that coin (being VG or so) has original toning, but it has become similar to the 'painted SAEs'. If someone is buying that and thinks they have a MS gem - they have alot of learning to do - which probably will not occur until they start selling some of their great purchases.
