'64 Kennedy Half with unusual toning...

Took this one out of the cello and submitted it myself. Whadda think?

    Looks like some kind of impurity was sitting on the surface of your half dollar for 40 years.....I see a lot of mint and proof sets with the same issue.

    Did you check to see if it was PVC first?

    I've seen that on some of my mint set coins.I've noticed that in each instance there was a hole in the plastic.
    I think it is natural.

    I think it was a hole in the cello, too.
    Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.

    Wow, usually they bag those for environmental damage!
    It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

    I can think of a dozen reasons not to have high capacity magazines, but it's the reasons I haven't thought about that I need them.

    I agree that this spot was probably caused by a small hole in the plastic. I have a bunch of old proof sets with spots like this, all dark purple/black.
