can you post a list off what fees and how much.

screw them anymore. Way too greedy. I have 3 coins(FE cents) that I am going to list on there as soon as they get back from PCGS and then probably no more.

Listing fees, which eBay calls insertion fees, on Feb. 2 will go up 17 percent for items with starting prices of $1.00 to $9.99. Fees for items priced at $10.00 to $499.99 will rise 9.1 percent. Items priced at $500.00 and up will carry a fee of $4.80, a 45 percent increase from the current listing fee of $3.30.

It appears they're attacking what they believe is a big problem in their revenue stream; unsold auctions.

goose I agree with you! Screw it! I might still try to cherry pick once in a while as I have picked up several coins well worth the money on ebay but think I will try to sell somewhere else. Besides that I have been cut off as a seller because I will not put a credit card on file. I have no credit card to put on file anyway. All my seller fees have been paid, never late (usually pay by paypal from funds received) and they have shut me off.

I have sent them an email to see what the problem is but my selling days may be over on ebay.

Doesn't look like it. No sweat off my nuggets, since I run $1 no reserve auctions.

I see that now. I too usually start my stuff at .01c and let it fly so I guess it won't mean much to me.
Still sucks though that they are so greedy

Man. I sold some of my old model railroad stuff last week and the fees for ebay and paypal cost me about $30. I really didn't sell that much stuff either.

That's not a problem for them as they make money off listing fees if things sell or not...One of EBay's biggest problems is fraud and the major damage it causes to their reputation or lack thereof. Hence, the multi-million dollar "you won't get E-screwed" television ads...

Well....I agree with Russ because I list most of my auction stuff with a starting price of $1.00 and no reserve. But, I am a private party, and mostly sell coins now. EBAY has been very good to me for the past three years that I've been buying/selling there. It sure beats walking into a retail shop or walking around a bourse floor and asking the dealer "how much will you give me for this?" I've been there and done that. As a buyer, I believe the fees charged by the big auction houses is atrocious! I mean---20% plus having to pay sales tax? no thanks. Disclosure: I do not own any EBAY stock.

Ebay would probably not have to increase fees it would just pay attention to some of our suggestions. There are lots of transactions going undetected, and raising fees may ease the hurt, but it doesn't solve the underlying problem.

If the net fee doesn't change, who cares. Doesn't Ebay's response make perfect sense. It's a start.

you guys that start at $1 - better start at 99 cents - will save you a nickel and not effect outcome on sold coins

you could always start at 1 cent -(but I grumble to myself when I package up an item that sold at 1 cent)
