    The 86-O is a clashed E reverse and there is a premium as this is a top 100 coin. According to Michael Fey's Top 100 Insights quarterly price guide recording trades: XF45 $75. AU-55 125, AU-58 $250 MS-61 $500.

    What grade is it?

The 86-O is a tough grade in UNC. This VAM is very tough MS60 and higher. The premium associated with it has no hard and fast rule.

I bought an ANACS-60 example of this VAM early last year and just crossed it to a PCGS-60 holder last week. It is only the second Mint State example I've ever seen. I paid $600 for it... and was thrilled to have had the chance to write the check.

    When in doubt, don't.
