A great rarity indeed!! All of Goetz's WWII medals are scarce at best. Oddly, the aircraft are all surreally -- one could say "childishly" -- drawn. None of the US and British bombers or the German fighters look much like real aircraft and they are mostly drawn out of perspective or with strange features like the curled wings of the leading Nazi interceptor.

41 Cast pieces (not counting patterns) since May....I haven't even cracked the surface as yet. I am hoping the three I won in auction December 14th arrived today too.

Kienast lists 633 in his 1st book how many more are in the addendum?

The numbers go up to 717 ... but there are a's & b's added to some of the earlier ones. I've never gone through Kienast to count how many distinct examples there are.

Actually, only 463 were shown in volume I and there are 307 in Volume II with 14 medals unattainable. This brings the total, as closely as anyone can figure it out, to 784 medals. Of course many of these were struck and, as you know, I am only collecting the cast pieces.
