Not gold, but copper it's clearly missing it's layer on the entire coin. All I've seen on heritage and ebay are ones missing the layer on just the one side. Anyway a lady at the bank has this and asked what it's worth. I'll bring my camera next time.
I believe it is called a "copper wash" error. I saw an Ike like that today at the Clearwater show...(Sego had it). It was in a PCGS holder and it was labeled as a mint error "Copper Wash". I have no idea of it's worth.
Yes, I saw it again yesterday, my Mom's boyfriend was the one that saw it first and told me about it. After viewing it, it's obviously a plated gold one.

No- it would have been a coin missing a clad layer... I'm not positive how much these have been going for, but I want to say between $100 and $300...

I agree. I'm not an error collector, but I've seen a copper wash error before and it gives the coin a gold color all over.
You can get your Gold State sets and your Platinum sets.
They even put them in holders that look like mint packaging.
What a deal. I was going to buy some of these but I decided
to just buy spray paint and make my own.
Good ol' CoinVault sells these beauties.
