Reduction Lathe Doubling

Does anyone know anything about reduction lathe doubling....is it considered an error...are there any coins you might know of that have it? Thank You.

Wouldn't anything that is not as the mint intended it to be, be considered an error? I would guess so.

Lakesammman, Thank You...If you would like to look I will post a picture...which was the cause of my question...after reading the cherrypickers guide on lathe doubling. It also occured on a 1916 Standing Liberty quarter....here is my picture in question.

It is the two most outer lines to the south which would be the outline of Kennedys profile.

Judd-156 to Judd-159 exhibit lathe reduction lines. Not sure you would call it doubling though. Heritage has one in the current sale:
