still play racquetball?

I was reading your ' A Mercenary's Guide to the Rare Coin Market ' again and notice on the jacket cover all of your activities and interests -

do you still play racquetball? I find this interesting because when I read Jim Halperin's book on Heritage grading - he played competitive racquetball as well - have you 2 ever played?

and talked about the coin market?

Racquetball was extremely popular in the coin market in the late 70s and early 1980s. We used to play at all the shows and auctions. The very best players in the coin business were Lee Crane, Larry Whitlow, Sal Germano, and Nick Buzolich (I may have left out a few.) Other players included Ron Howard, Bob Merrill, Steve Deeds, Gordon Wrubel, Jim Halperin, Lee Minshull, and many others.

In 1977, I used to play Steve Deeds every day before work. Jim Halperin came to racquetball a little later than most but had played a lot of squash so he picked the game up very quickly. I seem to remember us being pretty evenly matched.

Today, my knees are so bad that I don't play any more.

    Cool question.
