Has anyone wonder how big this industry is...

1. in terms of annual sales,
2. in terms of total value of all coins owned by "dealers,"
3. in terms of total value of all coins owned by "collectors,"
4. in museums, etc.?

Of those categories, I'd be most interested in the figure for the gross annual sales of all collectible coins.

Let's see, Heritage is going to do over 10 Million just at FUN alone. Just shooting from the hip, I'd think total gross sales for coins is something approaching a billion dollars.

I've thought about this before & also come up with the $1B number. Pretty small pick'ins in the grand scheme of things........

It basically means that an enterprising billionaire could completely upset nearly any part of the market they felt like image
