Economy- 50 Days

A few weeks ago, you said the turnaround for Economy grading was 35 days? (although I never saw the turnaround on the website fall below 40 days). Now it at 50 days. Whats up?

    Hi Greg...Unfortunately we have been bombarded with coin submissions. December is usually our slowest month, but this month has been beyond heavy in terms of submission volume. We have been getting a ton of gold coin submissions and a ton of Express submissions. On top of all that, these two weeks are shortened dramatically by the mid-week holidays. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I think January could suck big-time. The bottom line is that the market is super hot and people keep submitting even more and more coins.

    We'll deal with it and figure out a way to get the coins graded promptly. But one thing we will not do is to compromise on grading quality. I thought we had the backlog under control but I think we are all going to have a rough January. Sorry.
