If you are attending the FUN Show and you are really into roosies/mercs or stupid color coins, plan to join OnlyRoosies, greattoning, myself and several other color nuts for breakfast on Friday at 0900.
Right now our plan is to meet outside at the main entrance of the Peabody Hotel at 0900 and then move inside and chow down.
If you have rainbow roosies/mercs/etc., please bring them along to "brag/show off." Look forward to seeing some great rainbow coins and hearing some incredible "whopper rainbow" stories!!!!

I will attend the breakfast on Friday. By the way, who's paying? With the inclusion of the 2003 coins, I have jumped within the top 5 spots.

I can't wait to meet each of you in person.

I was forced to cancel my trip to the FUN Show at the last minute.
Two seperate family emergencies requiring hospitalization caused me to
evaluate my priorities.
Sorry I missed meeting you guys.
It is my hope that we all can meet soon, at another location.

Roosie breakfast went well... We met at the Peabody (6) and showed off stuff and told stories....Some of them were even true..... IMHO, the highlite was rainbowroosie showing off his rainbow set of roosie proofs (1950-64) and a Southern gentleman showing us his entire toned MS set....buying roosies was tough; I bought several nice raw coins, but the auction saw stiff competition for PCGS 67s with Nick usually the underbidder to Dave....I bought the 50D for a "very stiff" price -- $2357 -- not a small sum for a 67FB coin....that said, it ain't your average MS 67 coin....Nick will probably use it as his icon coin -- same way he "borrowed" my 54P as his original icon!!!!! ....Yes, Nick bought dinner at Vito's, truly the highlite of the entire FUN Show!!!
PCGS was NOT MAKING COINS at the show -- grading was "very strict," arguably bordering on "harsh." Two very, very nice 67s did not upgrade -- sorry Craig!
There were many nice rainbow dollars at the show, usually at very stiff prices....the best ones were selling high. I saw a common date S mint Morgan in 66 trade at $2600 dealer to dealer....Stupidly toned coins were going for stupid money....Two examples: I bought a 45S war nickle PCGS 67 at $900; sold a 1958D MS 64 FBL Frankie at $1300 -- yes, a 64. These two coins were two of the finest toned coins I have ever seen...was the price too high or correct?? I can only tell you that both the buyer and the seller in each transaction was very happy...
