Cladking, I know you'll enjoy this.

There is so much speculation on these boards about the demand for mint sets that I thought some would enjoy watching the real market for the sets that haven't been picked to death. I don't think searched sets with fatigued envelopes are a good indicator of the relative value of these coins raw. I was a bidder on these sets through $140, but it is already past me. If you'll look at the feedback rating of the underbidders, you'll see that there are no newbies in the hunt. image

    You're right, of course.

    That's double bid and bid is high because of the mint set only half. There's a sightly
    better than 50:50 chance of getting a $20 small date so people are bidding on more
    than just this.

    This is another of the few sets that are getting hard to find unpicked-over so they're
    likely looking for gems of one sort or another.
