Fishy??

Does this seem fishy tp you conspiracy theorists? Ebay #2776890568. Two of the bidders just registered in the last 8 days, with one registering yesterday, the same day the item was listed. LMK what you guys think?

  • Could be fishy or could just be coincidence. I’ve noticed that lately I’ve been getting a lot more low/zero feedback/newly registered bidders on my auctions. Not sure why that is. I’ve also noticed that my non paying bidders have gone up- and rather than being the low/zero feedback bidders, it’s the ones you’d think you could trust (i.e., ones w/100+ feedbacks, no prior signs of flakiness).

Thats bc its the holidays and everybody is broke. happens every year around this time.
  • When I suspect some foul play, I search all the other auctions those users bid on. If you check these two, you'll see they bid on many auctions from different sellers; nothing fishy.

The new trend I'm noticing for shill bidders is to use private auction listings; I would watch out for those.
