Who's has used the "make offer" option on Heritage's site?

I see that some coins have this option and suggest a lower price to buy the coin. They say that they'll only accept a bid in-between their set range. Has anyone made an offer lower than their range and won it or are they strict on it?

My personal experience has been that if you enter an amount lower than the range that pops up in a window, the software will not allow you to process your offer. In essence, the range base is the lowest amount they will consider. This was about a year ago, so things might have changed in the meantime.

If that is still too much, I would suggest calling them and giving them, verbally, your offer. Nothing to lose but a little time and it might just work.

I agree that a call will define the action.
They are very willing to talk but make up your best deal first . Otherwise you are in a different league.

Recently, they had a coin I wanted. It had been marked down %5, with the sale price at $142.00. I offered $130.00 and it was accepted. Free shipping, as well. But, I think everyone who ordered at that time, rec'd free shipping..

Ummm???? They allowed my transaction with plastic...

Yeah, you can't enter an amount lower than their range. The software does not allow it. However, what some of the other people suggest about just calling them and making an offer below the range will probably work. I have used the "make offer" option and was please with it. I just entered the bottom of the range and waited a few days and they accepted it. Only thing I didn't like was you can't complete the transaction over their website via credit card, I had to call in to give them my credit card info.
