    Off the top I'd say ugly, but in person it might be a real sharp red color.

    I really like the the reverse and the obverse has a certain something to it. I think I like the luster peeking through the dark patina in speckles. Very unique looking coin.

    Too Deep and Too Much tone on the obverse. JMHO.

    I duno, the obverse is all toned over and its not all that attractive. Its cool though in a way cause it looks like it was picked up off the street !!!(yes, i pick up pennies off the street) I wouldnt say its ugly, but how desireable do you feel it is?? Anyway I think I would pass on it. if I purchased it sight unseen from david hall (DHRC) and I recieved it in the mail I might send it back.I have a 1936 PCGS ms66 25c and its frosty white with NO toning what so ever.

    That is down right UGLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! I saw a Frankie at the coin shop that would put that one to shame...it was black.

    I've seen those kinds of coins in hand and they are just tough to make out the design of the coin with all the disturbance going on because of the heavy toning - so I would personally pass on that one.
